Working motion.conf / threadX.conf sample files in action, in real life...

Newcomers are able to see what to expect from Motion and also are welcome to use these samples config-files as a ready-made or as a quick-start solution.

    1. modified alg.c - changed #define ACCEPT_STATIC_OBJECT_TIME 1
    2. modified motion.h - changed #define BUFSIZE_1MEG (4096 * 4096)
  5. Hardware (C.P.U. / memory) = Pentium IV 1.700 Mhz / 512 MB RAM
  6. Software (Linux distro / Kernel) = Slax Linux / Kernel 2.6.24.5
  7. Video capture card (chip / inputs) = CONEXANT FUSION 878A (Bt878 LW-104D DVR CARD) / 1 chip / 4 inputs
  8. Video camera = VISION VC34HQX-12 Day/Night Mini C/CS Box CCTV camera (Super Hi-Res)
  9. Video AVI sample = motion_avi_05.04.2010_11:32:54.avi
  10. Picture JPG sample = motion_jpg_05.04.2010_11:32:54.jpg

  8. Video camera = Logitech, Inc. Webcam C270

Extra: While testing my configuration I was forced to do following steps. Details on my local page:
  1. stop motion
  2. remove/add uvcvideo module to kernel
  3. start motion 
sudo modprobe -r uvcvideo; sudo modprobe uvcvideo; sudo motion

  3. Motion version = Git-28b7cb2a4297c78b9c08c9ce29a648aeb22120d0 (built from source around Apr 2014)
  4. Hacks applied = none
  5. Hardware (C.P.U. / memory) = Raspberry Pi B model with 512 mb RAM.
  6. Software (Linux distro / Kernel) = Raspian GNU/Linux (Debian wheezy) / Kernel 3.10.32
  7. Video capture card (chip / inputs) = none
  8. Video camera = Pi Camera
  9. Video AVI sample = none
  10. Picture JPG sample = none
  11. FFmpeg version = 2.2.git 16 Apr 2014
