Webcam server without motion detection?

Question

Hi, is it possible to completely disable the motion detector and only use the webcam server to save some cpu time? TIA

Environment

Motion version: 3.2.9
ffmpeg version:  
Libraries:  
Server OS:

Answer

It's possible :

http://www.lavrsen.dk/twiki/bin/view/Motion/MotionHttpAPI#Detection_Commands

you can stop/pause motion detection.

However you can also change some setting in motion.conf like :

http://www.lavrsen.dk/twiki/bin/view/Motion/ConfigOptionMinimumFrameTime

http://www.lavrsen.dk/twiki/bin/view/Motion/ConfigOptionOutputNormal

And disable

http://www.lavrsen.dk/twiki/bin/view/Motion/ConfigOptionFfmpegCapNew
