Not able to display the captured frames from Logitech QuickCam USB Camera.

Question

I am running motion on ubuntu 8.10 Linux and using Logitech QuickCam (640x480) USB Camera. Also using motion with default motion.conf settings. Motion application is not able to display captured frame from camera. Application displays the error as provided in "Verbatim Text" section. Kindly suggest the proper configuration or settings required to run motion using the mentioned camera.
