on_event_end not executing script

Question

on_event_end = /usr/bin/dropbox

#!/bin/bash

#save files to dropbox

/home/pi/Dropbox-Uploader/dropbox_uploader.sh delete /$(date +%Y_%m_%d)

/home/pi/Dropbox-Uploader/dropbox_uploader.sh upload /home/pi/motionshare /$(date +%Y_%m_%d)

runs fine at the home prompt and in other sub dir 
no error posted just not running

Environment

Motion version: 3.2.12
ffmpeg version:  
Libraries: ffmpeg, mysql, postgresql
Server OS:
