Is it possible to record or capture IP Camera using motion in realtime ?

Question

I have Raspberry Pi

I want record my IP Camera using motion in realtime even no motion were detected and split the video ex : Hourly , Daily , Monthly then output look like 29-03-2014.flv , 30-03.2014.flv and so on

But when i trying record to flv and the video is just 2 second and the size is growing ex : 1 MB , 4 MB , 10 MB I have tried the time lapse set up but the video is too fast and not realible to view

Motion version: 3.2.12
ffmpeg version: 0.8.6-6:0.8.6-1+rpi1
Libraries: ffmpeg, mysql, postgresql
Server OS: Raspbian, kernel 3.10.33+ #658 PREEMPT
