Cannot add IP camera to motion eye

Question

I have an ELEC IP camera that I want to add to motion eye. I have a url for viewing the stream, and I can get it to work in VLC. rtsp://192.168.x.x:554/h264/ch1/sub/ I have tried to use this url to add the camera in motion eye on my ubuntu server. It adds the camera, but I get only a grey screen with the message "Unable to open video device" I have a raspberry pi 2B running motioneyeOS with its own camera. I can add the IP camera on the pi without any problems, but I would like to set the server up with control over all the streams.
