Note: From version 3.1.17 (snap release 2 and on) this option has changed from a boolean (on or off) to a number in percent between 0 and 100. Zero means the option is disabled.

The value defines the picture areas in percent that will trigger the lightswitch condition. When lightswitch is detected motion detection is disabled for 5 picture frames. This is to avoid false detection when light conditions change and when a camera changes sensitivity at low light.

Comments

It seems 5 picture frames is not enough in my case - I have motion record at 25fps and when the camera switches to night vision, it often takes up to 1-2 seconds for it to adjust and 5 frames is only a fifth of a second at that kind of fps. - It would be great if instead of number of frames, it would take time into account, e.g. ignore motion for 2 seconds.

Does this parameter always refer to a percentage of the whole frame? If I use a mask, does it refer to a percentage of the unmasked area, or does it still refer to the whole frame?

It refers to whole frame.
