Motion - Support Question 2005x 05x 25x 084501

Store an image without detecting motion

Question

I did setup motion on my Debian system now and it works fine so far after some development of a driver for my camera. I did search in all options and did not find for what I want as an extra.

Is it possible to store an image for lets say every minute even if no motion is detected? So motion will generate an image every minute and if motion is detected it will start recording with the specified framerate.

Thanks in advance for your time and help

Environment

Motion version: 3.1.19
ffmpeg version:
Libraries: curl, xmlrpc, ffmpeg, mysql, postgresql
Server OS: Debian Sarge on kernel 2.6.8

Answer

You should use one of :

Anyway in the motion guide there's much more information about these parameters and others that maybe you can be interested in like External Commands.
