Firefox hangs when viewing mjpeg stream

Question

The mjpeg stream from the internal webserver can be viewed perfectly in Opera. However, viewing it in Firefox version 1.5.0.x causes Firefox to hang. Previous versions of FF worked OK, although the refresh button had to be pressed. Mozilla seem to be in denial and are reluctant to confirm (and hence fix) the bug. Has anyone got a simple workaround for this? (i.e. without sending images to a different webserver).

Answer

Use the Cambozola applet embedded in a web page as described in the Motion Guide. It requires Java but it works perfectly.
