two webcams and motion.conf

Question

hi guys

I have two webcams

In the motion.conf file I have only /dev/video0

Videodevice to be used for capturing (default /dev/video0) # for FreeBSD default is /dev/bktr0 videodevice /dev/video0

I must add /dev/video1 for the second webcam??

thanks in advance for your help

Environment

Motion version: 3.2.11.1
ffmpeg version:  
Libraries: ffmpeg, mysql, postgresql
Server OS: ubuntu 9.04 server (no GUI)

Answer

You have to create a separatte config file for each webcam and use thread directive in motion.conf i.ex :
thread /path/webcam1.conf
thread /path/webcam2.conf

Then set in webcam1.conf and webcam2.conf the value of your webcams for videodevice.
