Motion detection, PIR-like function

Question

I am totally new to RasPi . I have to do this with my NOIR camera module on the B+ board: - Enable the motion detect by sending a signal to an input pin - Acquire a frame – delay 2 seconds – acquire a second frame. No more frames are needed. - If motion is below the Threshold, output signal on a GPIO pin I have done this with a PIR sensor but it is not reliable. I need to precisely specified the threshold to detect the absence of a certain amount of motion.

No image or video capture is needed. The processing time must be minimal for a good response time.

Thank you for your help.

I followed steps in http://embeddedday.com/projects/raspberry-pi/a-step-further/install-motion-mmal/

I do not know about versions, libraries

Paste in your error messages, config settings, terminal window output etc in this text field.
