BUG: Logitech Quickcam Messenger : image much too bright

Hi,

I have a Logitech Quickcam Messenger webcam, perfectly well recognised by my Debian and Motion, but the image is much too bright, even if I disable the brightness or change any of the 4 other settings (from 0 to 255). I have tried with another Quickcam Messenger, and I still have the same problem. Here you can see the result : http://homeserver.nicolaskern.fr/~nicolas/cam/index.html

Follow up

Did you test your camera with other program ?

Are you pointing directly to a striong light ?
