BUG: 8bit Greyscale support missing for uvcvideo device

I'm trying to use motion with an old "The Imaging Source" Astrocam, because it works nicely with very low light.

I could not find any compatible palette setting in motion. The camera is a true greyscale camera with one 8bit Bitplane.

The camera works with vlc (Open Capture Device) as well as mplayer (-tv driver=v4l2).

And yes, i'm willing to compile&test from SVN or GIT if required.
